Your heart.

That’s right—your heart. Paul teaches us in Ephesians that “Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith” (3:17). God comes down to dwell in us, in our hearts. Now, we know this: God cannot dwell where there is evil. “You are not a God who takes pleasure in evil; with you the wicked cannot dwell” (Ps. 5:4). Something pretty dramatic must have happened in our hearts, then, to make them fit to be the dwelling place of a holy God.

Of course, none of this can happen for us until we give our lives back to God. We cannot know the joy or the life or the freedom of heart I’ve described here until we surrender our lives to Jesus and surrender them totally. Renouncing all the ways we have turned from God in our hearts, we forsake the idols we have worshiped and given our hearts over to. We turn, and give ourselves body, soul, and spirit back to God, asking him to cleanse our hearts and make them new.

i believe this is my virgin post in this blog. (in actual fact, i don't blog...)
My name is Ray, for those who don't know me. Should i type in proper english or just some random abbrevations? HaHa i think i'll type in proper standard english for the sake of those secondary students...

The main reason for this particular post of mine is to give glory and credit to the Lord our God, for He deserves nothing less than this! For those that had yet to know, i have got into Temasek Polytechnic! i prayed so hard for a chance to get into university (i mean the local universities like NUS, NTU or SMU) and God answered my prayers! (positive answer of course) Gone were the days when i prayed day and night for this desire of mine, and here i am to give praise for the Lord our God! Just when i thought that was all in store which God had planned for me, i found myself in TP volleyball team! i was told that i had to come from some school team in order to join the volleyball team but when i completed the tryouts, i was reminded to go for the proper trainings! i never thought i would have a chance to work hard to be a good volleyballer but God gave me a chance to prove my worth, a chance for me to finally receive proper volleyball trainings. God is great!

Moral of the story: Love God, for He is wondrous. Pray to God, for it is the most powerful weapon on earth. Obey God, for in His hands, we are safe. Last but not least, Praise God! For He is worthy! Unto Him be all glory and praise!

However, please do not think that we can be lazy because we have God. God provides us a chance to succeed, not success.

At times, the fear of insufficiency tends to overshadow our faith in God. When we see storms coming, we tend to withhold our seeds. In 1kings 17, the woman stopped obeying the Lord's command due to her such fears. it s e fear of insufficiency. And Elijah encouraged her to give toward her future harvest and not from her present shortage.

And the story continues to say how obeyed and how she received her victory as she obey God. If you are willing to take God at His word, no matter what situation you may be in, God can perform His word!

Another story in the bible, Gen 26..
We can see how Isaac obeyed God and sowed his precious seeds into the famine-parched land. To other unbelievers, it may seem stupid but to Isaac, he boldly obeyed God. He used his faith as a shield against bad news and the advice of the best minds of his day.

Again we see that if a person is willing to obey the voice of the Lord, no matter how bad the economy or situation may seem, God is going to perform what He promised.

So i reali wanna encourage all of u to put away every fear of insufficiency and start sowing towards our future. e amt mite seem impossible, but let s stretch our faith n do 1 v impt ting: trust in the Lord..n juz obey!!

Do Not Let Circumstances Rule You

Doubt causes you to be like a wave which is driven and tossed with the wind ( James 1:6). If it feels good, then it is good. If people appreciate you, you are happy. If you experience hard times, you believe God has deserted you. If people are against you, you get depressed. This is a sure sign that your trust is based in circumstances and people, and not in the Living God and His word. You are like a wave; lacking stability, constantly dependant on external stimulation, a perpetual victim of circumstances. When someone asks you how you feel, you reply, "I'm fine, under the circumstances." In other words, the circumstances are over you and decide how you should be feeling. But God does not want you to be like this. He does not want you to be a double-minded man, unstable in all your ways (James 1:8-9). He does not want insecurity and confusion to rule all that you do and every decision you make. He wants security, stability, and single-mindedness to rule and reign in your life. How can this happen? It can never be accomplished by continuing to base your life on natural circumstances, but by connecting with supernatural and believing the Word of God. In the external, in this natural world, there is nothing firm enough for you to stand on; but in the supernatural, there is a Rock, Jesus and His Word, which is immovable and unchanging, and will give your life all the stability it will ever need.

Never listen to Condemnation

Roman 8:1-2 says , There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.No longer do you have to run away from God in fear and shame like Adam. You can come before God free from guilt and inferiority. The way to the throne of grace is always open to you. God is with you and for you. All of His promises are available to you.

When the devil see this, he completely changes his strategy. Rather than making you feel successful in your own strength, as he used to do, he tries to make you feel that you have nothing, can do nothing, understand nothing, and will never be able to do anything for God. He has deceived many generations of God's wonderful children with these lies. He beats on your flesh to get you looking at your weakness and to make you think that you will never be able to improve.

The Bible tells us that there is a side of our lives which is carnal. Your flesh will be with you as long as you live in this world, but you do not need to live according to its demands ( Romans 8:4 ). Because you have been born again, you are no longer a debtor to the flesh ( Romans 8:12 ). Through the Spirit you are told to put its deeds to death ( Romans 8:13 ).

We should not sow to the flesh, the Bible tells us, because if we do we will reap death. Instead, we should sow to the Spirit, and reap life ( Galatians 6:8 ). If we walk in the Spirit, we will certainly not fulfil the lusts of the flesh ( Galatians 5:16 ).

What does this mean ? It means that even though your flesh will be with you for the rest of your life and will always resist and be at enmity with God ( Romans 8:7 ), victory is available to you through the Holy Spirit working with your born-again spirit. You no longer need to live according to the flesh and experience defeat. You can live in the Spirit and walk in victory as a result.

In spite of what many people preach and teach, the Bible tells you that you can walk in the Spirit, that you can live in victory, and that sin shall not have dominion over you ( Romans 6:14 ). There is victory for every situation ! How? By faith !!

When you are born again, the devil tries everything to take away your victory. He gets you to think that you can never live in victory and he points to the many failures and miserable circumstances of your life, as proof of how worthless you really are.

Here is where you have to live by faith. When you see yourself as righteous, you will be able to do this. You are not a poor sinner any more. You are not even a sinner who has been saved by grace. You were a sinner, you had fleshly nature ( Romans 5:8, 7:7 ), you were saved by grace and have now been made righteous with the righteousness of God Himself.

hello all!
i'm sure we had an eventful weekend with rev mike connell!
so if any of you have any experiences to share, feel free!

i have nothing much to say, other then.... my whole body is aching!!!!!

haha! how cool right, this is after the sunday session. to those who missed the sunday session, here's a little report on my part. i felt the power was more 'bham wham' on sat, but the love was definitly more suffocating on sunday. (yes, i've got interesting choice of words) personally i enjoyed sat more, because it was more exciting for me, and the people whom i ministered to were more... 'happening'. haha.

sunday was a lot on love. and pst derek flowed tremendously (like how he always does) at the end of the meeting. he released the power of God, and majority of the people fell under the power. those at the arena and those at the terrace both. and lo and behold.. we had... HOLY LAUGHTER! hahahaha. it was funny to see so many on the floor at the arena clutching their stomachs howling with laughter. but sadly, i didnt fall. but it's okay, that definitly saved me from having more bruises. i saw this girl who fell under the power and i heard the 'konk' when her head reached the floor. ouch.

so that's about all. let's be excited for FOP!!

Just like what Jesus had did , we must alway have the Christ-likeness like Him. A full of man and full of God, His a Great example we can follow as we want our heart to follow after Him.

Or will be like Samson, who lost his hair which is his prayer life and then his eyes which is his vision in God.
Don't lose your prayer life.

Got one couple getting married, then the wedding cake, they wanna put bible verse, so they tell the confectionery to put 1 john 4:18 'there's no fear in love but perfect love casts out fear, because fear into torment. But he who fears has been made perfect in love.' but the confectionery are non-christians, they dont know the difference between 1john and john, so they out john 4:18 'for you have had five husband, and the one whom you now have is not your husband.' (HEHEHE)

Hi, actually nothing interesting happen in my life recently, but i'm glad that i'm able to control my temper in school because some of my freaking friends are doing some freaking things to me. I'm glad when they do their stuff i'm not angry at all, so ya lo. I can say that the present shijie is not the old shijie anymore! I believe that as we grow up in church, many things u learnt will be of help when u r in this world!

HEY E444! (Joo ask me to do this =P) Three days ago, a miracle happened to me ar =) I've decided to study!!! SHOCKED EH? haha. Yes i wanna study no doubt =P Three days ago we got our career staminar(nt sure spell like that anot) Different representative from different school came to our school to introduce their schools and the courses. Somehow i just spot an very interesting course that is HOSPITALITY AND TOURISM! But the problem is... Do i have what it takes to go not lol. My current results is like 44% for overall lo. So i've figure out a plan the next day =)

I gonna start buying all my textbooks back as i lose all my books (that's why my bag is empty) and i'm gonna start my study hours beginning on monday. I'm gonna work really really hard for the next 3 years. So if anyone see me slack, Please remind me =) It may seem hard la, but i believe as long as we have faith. we can do it yea. i wanna try to do 20 study hours for every week. i've slack in studies for 8 years already. i think it's really time for me to buck up. My psle i still can play computer at home, that's why i get a lousy aggr of 187. Thanks to junyu,joo and chris for encouraging me. It certainly helps me. My aim for "N" levels is 4 As. And 3 As for "O" levels. Yea. i hope i can achieve these goals.

Sorry PEEPS i didn't attend cell group today. Some STUPID THINGS HAPPENED and joo. i didn't use the plastic bag XD

HELLO LOVELIES!!

i have nothing special to say.. other then.. I'M GOING FOR A MISSION TRIP THIS SUNDAY!!!! YOOOHOOOOO! although it is only a one day trip, can u tell i'm still super excited??? hohoho..

anyways i'm heavily involved in the drama, and i'm acting as the main character!! but please note that i have no experience whatsoever in acting, so it's kinda scary for me. but i just wanna share something brother bobby shared during sot.

he shared about having the right attitude. often we say, go ahead and try, dare to fail. but it's kinda cliche to a point we dont really get it. so to break it down to simplier and everyday terms, basically, "NO PROBLEM!" in the past when they needed a backup vocalist, they asked bro bobby, he said "NO PROBLEM!". although he found out they turned off his mic during the session, it is the attitude that matters! like elim chew, when she first started, she would get calls asking if she does printing of namecards or t-shrits. and although she doesnt, she would say "NO PROBLEM!", after which then she would flip through the yellowpages to get the job done.

so the point of this is, whatever opportunity you are given, you may suck at it, or you may never have done it before, just do it! the next time you're about to reject an opportunity, stop and consider, why are you rejecting it? have a "NO PROBLEM" attitude!

okay, now personally this helped me in certain areas. one of which is this drama thing, i seriuosly never acted before, especially not an emo drama, but i thought of this when i was abt to reject. so now i'm playing the lead, and yes i still feel a little scared.. but NO PROBLEM! some of you would also noticed from my blog that i helped my sot friend to model for his portfolio. and i have never done it before, and i really dislike the attention when i'm posing. but i surprised not only myself but my friend too when i immediately replied him "NO PROBLEM!".HAHAHAHA.

so my point here is.... WILL YOU GUYS EACH TREAT ME TO A MEAL?

DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA !!! I’m so glad that I did go for the drama ministry auditions. The feeling after that was amazing and I was really touched and encouraged by the people ( Chris , Kelly , Jun Yu , Yan Bing) whom accompany me to wait through those dreadful hours outside while I was waiting for the whole audition to finish. Not forgetting those whom text me and called me. (Joo, Zhen) Thank you all so much for all the love, support and encouragement that u guys gave.

The auditions were fun and I was made to do things that I’ve never done before. Like the first round of auditions we were made to walk around the empty room and suddenly we were given a role along side with a storyline thus we have to act out the character on the spot. The 2nd round of auditions we were given a script to memorize in a short time and we are supposed to act out with one of the drama crew and also given an impromptu scene. I can say its good experience and challenge to me. Now waiting for the final notice to see whether I’m in it or not. But regardless of the outcome I know I’ve did my Best and I’m glad that I tried. I enjoyed the process. Most of all to all those whom believe in me. Love you guys! =)

Got one cell group leader wants to do visitation on one of his member, this member is a very rich kid, stay in bungalow. Then the cell leader walked to the member's door, pressed the doorbell but the member didnt open the door, so the leader shouted the members name but the member still never open. So the leader wrote this note and paste on the door, rev3:20 'behold i stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, i will come in to him and dine with him, and he with me' and the leader went off. The following week during the cg meeting, the member write a note the the leader. He wrote gen3:10 'i heard your voice in the garden, and i was afraid because i was naked, and i hid myself'

The Duck & the Devil

There was a little boy visiting his grandparents on their farm. He was given
a slingshot to play with out in the woods. He practiced in the woods; but he
could never hit the target. Getting a little discouraged, he headed back for
dinner. As he was walking back he saw Grandma's pet duck. Just out of
impulse, he let the slingshot fly, hit the duck square in the head and
killed it. He was shocked and grieved! In a panic, he hid the dead duck in
the wood pile; only to see his sister watching! Sally had seen it all, but
she said nothing.

After lunch the next day Grandma said, "Sally, let's wash the dishes."
But
Sally said, "Grandma, Johnny told me he wanted to help in the kitchen."
Then
she whispered to him, "Remember the duck?" So Johnny did the dishes.
Later
that day, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing and Grandma
said, "I'm sorry but I need Sally to help make supper." Sally just smiled
and said, "Well that's all right because Johnny told me he wanted to help."
She whispered again, "Remember the duck?" So Sally went fishing and Johnny
stayed to help.

After several days of Johnny doing both his chores and Sally's; he finally
couldn't stand it any longer. He came to Grandma and confessed that he had
killed the duck. Grandma knelt down, gave him a hug and said, "Sweetheart, I
know. You see, I was standing at the window and I saw the whole thing, but
because I love you, I forgave you. I was just wondering how long you would
let Sally make a slave of you."

Thought for the day and every day thereafter?
Whatever is in your past, whatever you have done... and the devil keeps
throwing it up in your face (lying, cheating, debt, fear, bad habits,
hatred, anger, bitterness, etc.)...whatever it is...You need to know that
God was standing at the window and He saw the whole thing. He has seen your
whole life. He wants you to know that He loves you and that you are
forgiven.
He's just wondering how long you will let the devil make a slave of you.
The great thing about God is that when you ask for forgiveness; He not only
forgives you, but He forgets. It is by God's grace and mercy that we are
saved.

Go ahead and make the difference in someone's life today. Share this with a
friend and always remember: God is at the window!

Being in Church is not like work and CCA at all. Is really about our relationship with God. The reason why people seem us doing alot for Christ is because we love Him. We don't love without doing like religious people, but we do cause we obey and trust in Him. So let our mind be renew.

I just happened to came across this while reading. I just want to share with you all!

Do you have a significant goal like this one: Talk to at least one person everday about Jesus. It doesn't have to be a complete gospel presentation, but just that you "nudge" someone in the direction of faith by words from the Bible, your testimony, or some other source.

In the nineteenth century, one man made that his goal. His name was Dwight Moody. He was the Billy Graham of his day, preaching to millions of people, and leading millions more to Christ. He is credited with starting Moody Bible Institute, Moody Magazine, Moody Church (a large church in Chicago), and the beginnings of the student organizations that have become Youth for Christ, Campus Life, Young Life, and InterVarsity. It's said that one night he was about to go to bed when he suddenly cried, "I haven't witnessed to anyone personally today!" He immediately put on his coat and went out and found someone to witness to. Although it doesn't take a lot of time, this daily goal could change the world. Imagine if every christian tried to live up to it. We'd turn the world upside down!

Dearest all, let's make this our goal too! Let's try our best to share with someone about Jesus and your testimony! Let's shine for Him! Remember we ought to be the salt of the earth and light of the world. Start sharing! Do something significance in a person's life. Let's do God's will and make things happen!!
